Overview
Every Westin Group brand, from dealer-facing wholesale lines to direct-to-consumer ecommerce, draws on the same in-house design function. Furniture design that isn't grounded in how a piece will actually be tooled, molded, and packed tends to stall out somewhere between concept and production. Ours doesn't, because our designers work alongside the people who manufacture the product, not upstream of them in a separate studio.
That proximity shapes everything we design. Concepts are developed with material behavior, tooling constraints, and production volume in mind from the first sketch, not retrofitted to them after the fact. The result is a design pipeline that moves faster from concept to shelf, and product that holds up to the weathering, structural, and consistency standards the group's brands are built on.
How Design Work Flows
Concept & Category Strategy
Every program starts with a brief, a category gap, a brand refresh, a channel-specific opportunity, and our designers develop concepts against it, informed by what's selling, what's aging out, and where a brand's line has white space.
Design Development
Concepts move into detailed development: form, dimension, material selection, and finish, refined in close coordination with engineering so the design holds up under real-world manufacturing constraints, not just on a rendering.
Engineering & Production-Ready Spec
Design becomes a tooling-ready, production-ready specification: the drawings, material call-outs, and structural detail that manufacturing needs to build the piece consistently, at volume, run after run.
Manufacturing Handoff
Because design and manufacturing sit inside the same organization, that handoff isn't a handoff in the usual sense, it's a continuation. Designers stay involved through first sample and first production run, so nothing gets lost in translation between drawing and finished product.
One Team, Every Brand
Wholesale & Contract Lines
Design work for brands like Seahawk Designs and Everon Products Company is built around dealer and hospitality procurement cycles: durability, finish consistency, and line breadth that hold up across large-volume programs.
Direct-to-Consumer Lines
Design for brands like WestinTrends and CostaElm is developed with online merchandising and at-home assembly in mind: silhouettes and finishes that photograph well and pack down efficiently, without sacrificing the material performance the group is built on.
Private Label & OEM/ODM Programs
For partners without an in-house design function, our team can develop original product from a brief alone: the same design-through-spec process used for the group's own brands, applied to a partner's category gap.
Why It Works
Design that already knows how it will be made
Because our designers work inside the same organization as manufacturing, material science, and engineering, design decisions get pressure-tested against production reality early, rather than discovered as a problem after tooling is cut.
Consistency across a full portfolio
One design function serving every brand means a shared discipline around material performance, structural standards, and finish quality, even as the aesthetic shifts brand to brand.
Speed from concept to production
A shorter distance between the design table and the factory floor means fewer revision cycles and a faster path from concept to a sellable product.
A Westin Group Company
Design is one of Westin Group's shared creative capabilities, supporting every division and brand across the portfolio, from wholesale and hospitality lines to the group's direct-to-consumer ecommerce brands. It's backed by Westin Group's vertically integrated manufacturing, materials, and sourcing infrastructure, which is what allows design work here to move straight into production rather than stopping at a rendering.
